# Approve or reject a requirement

POST https://app.brightmove.com/ATS/api/v1/requirements/{guid}/approval
Content-Type: application/json

Records an approval or rejection event for this requirement, updating its approval status accordingly. Mirrors the approve/reject action available in the internal UI.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — BrightMove OAuth2 client_credentials - use the client_id/client_secret from User > API Keys (or an admin-managed client).

## Request

### Path parameters

- `guid` (string, required) — Stable public identifier of the requirement

### Body (application/json)

This endpoint expects a RequirementApprovalRequest.

- `approved` (boolean, required) — True to approve the requirement, false to reject it.
- `note` (string, optional) — Optional note explaining the approval/rejection decision. Omit for none.
